Our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining kit is extensive and enables us to carry out large-format work to model large vehicles as well as smaller products, from one-offs to low volume production runs.

CNC machining can be used to produce 3D forms directly from CAD data without the risk of interpretation error. Our high precision vertical machining and turning centres ensure that your design intent is fully realised and maintained.

Facts about CNC

• CNC machining can be cheaper and quicker than 3D printing, particularly if your part is large or has thick walls or features.
• Your prototype can be produced in the actual materials intended for production, so not only will it look like the real thing – it will function like the real thing too! We have extensive experience with materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, zinc, titanium and many of the more exotic alloys; plastics like delrin, nylon, acrylic, polycarbonate, polystyrene, ABS; as well as materials such as Ureol, structural foams, timber and composites.
• We can create your CAD data for you and advise on the most appropriate materials and specifications for your parts (including appropriate tolerances and identification of critical dimensions).
• Part inspection and approval can be undertaken to ISO 9001 and 13485 quality standards.
